Unfortunately the male was frightened when he guards the eggs and I found them outside the cave, I only succed to make one fry survive of 26 eggs.
The water parameters was as follow, pH 6.0 conductivity 80 µS and the temp 28 C
They spawn in a small cave and I had a powerhead aimed to the entrance, I dont think they need so much current and the most important seams to be the change in conductivity. To get them in the right condition you have to feed them Cyclops, artemia and even some small shrimps, they like wood but not as much like other species in this group. Under this summer I have bought some more so now I have two pair that I will try to breed under next winter, the fry and youngster are very beauty.
Yann, even that my name is Janne like some females in other countrys so am I still a male

Hi Buddy (sorry about that "her" stuff)
How big was your tank and what type of filtration ( water flow rate) you had in the tank?
Cheers

The tank mesures 95 x 40 x 36 cm around 130 L, powerhead 1000 L/h from one end pointed to the cave that was at the other side. Not heavy current just smothly past the entrance. This tank is one of 15 in a rack with all water cirkulated thrue the same filter and I can regulate this pump to cirkulate all water between 1 to 3 times the volyme per hour. When I change water I do that in the big filter tank and I can chose which type of water I will use for the moment, only to turn the right valve

Thanx for good tips...
How about their size for sexual maturity? And/or tankmates? Do they need their privacy or is it possible to breed them in a community tank?
They will live in a 530L with the company of (unless i get room for breeding tank, as the one separate breeding tank I have are occupied with a group of 5 Synodontis Nigrita)
10 Aequidens Dorsiger
3 Apistogramma Cacatuoides
1 Peckoltia L-168
1 Otocinlus Affinis(will get some more)
I am also considering a pair of Nannacara Anomala.

They are a small species so I guess around 7 cm for sexual maturity and they are very shy so dont keep them with other bigger loricariids for food competition.
The male developes odontodes on his cuadal peduncle and the female lack this, I dont think they will breed in a community tank and they need changes in conductivity which is much easier to do in a smaller breeding tank there they also not will be disturb.
