Thai Catfish (Bagridae?)

A member of my local aquarium club's forum posted this picture of a catfish he caught in Thailand. What is it?

Is it a bagrid? It looks like an ariid to me, maybe something like ?

The head doesn't look flat enough & the body seems quite short & rotund compared to the small(er) specimens of H Nemerus i've seen - i presume this one is somewhere around the 10-14" TL mark

Look at the length of the maxillary barbel and tell me if you think it's still A. maculatus.

I'm not trying to identify effing loricariids here.

:shock: Sorry not meaning to disagree with you...& i was only suggesting something like an Ariid - indeed the maxillarys are a key ID point here...
