hi all, i thiunk i have a problem but before i start moving fish and treating them i want some advice from you guys/girls on here.

I have 2 pairs of bristlenoses and one of the males this morning has creaming patches on the sides of his head, which after reading up i think is fungus caused by fighting with the other male (the male has just finished raising fry and started leaving the cave). my idea is going to be treat the patchy fish with fungus treatment and put one pair of bristles into a new tank.

feel free to give advice and ask more questions

thanks

Sounds like a reasonable idea to separate them. I have seen cases where a one male kills the other one.

Thanks for the reply. the new tank should be set up and ready for the fish later tonight and with luck the fish will be fine and healthy again in no time

thanks again

In my experience, they can take quite a bit of violence.
