CorysRUs Grab Bag - Arrived!!

Well i took the hook line and sinker, just cannot wait to see what they send me. They have an auction right now for a grab bag (and with the prices of Corys around here, what bad could come from spending $25?) They said in the auction that the number of fish, species, and everything is completely variant, and the types limited are to what is in stock. I looked over their "in stock" list, and boy I cannot wait to find out what I purchased. I really REALLY hope for concolor or neon lazers, but even triliniatus would be great.

I know, just the pure excitement of what it could be (and the un excitement of what I hope its not.) Anyways, with different species of corys school up together? I really REALLY am hoping for trilineatus, because I cannot find more for the two I have rescued.

Some corys school together, others don't. If they look similar, they usually will school together.

My C. simils sometimes school with the C. sterbai, but usually they keep to themselves.

Will they be aggressive at all towards eachother being from different species? I know my pygmyeus would school with my trilineatus.

There are extremely few corys that are territorial/aggressive. They would not be in the group of cories that you find in shops with any regularity.

And they have been received!! I am not sure yet on what type ther are, but I got 4x wildcaught ones. They schooled up with my trilineatus, which is good news for me. They have longer wiskers than most and I will browsed their website quick and get the type (pictures will be posted tonight.)

They look to be similar to the following: . So I have no clue, they all look WAY to similar to me LOL.

That was all apart of the auction lol. it was a grab bag ( and boy am I a sucker for the unknown LOL.) I went over their list of fish currently in and was hoping for some (not even realizing how awesome these are) and was like well, what type are these? This morning I was looking over their website and they all look the same to me lol, so I emailed them and they then told me. I still want some green lazers, but they are way to much currently on aquabid :(

Green Lasers are currently less expensive than they have ever been on AB. Generally the bring $20 each. My last group of 5 - the auction closed at $65. Dirt cheap for that fish. :-) - Frank

Yes, I understand that you don't know what kind of fish you are bidding on, but to not tell you what you won after the auction closes and you paid your money, is, in a word, ludicrous. lol. - Frank

LOL, I would agree. If you want to sell me some green lazers for even more dirt cheap, I am game lol. or trilineatus.

Sorry. I need to get a fair price for my fish. I devote too much time, energy, TLC and live black worms to my fish to give them away for peanuts. Champagne taste and a beer wallet, won't fly. :-)
or trilineatus.
Not to sound like a Cory snob, but I don't have the time or space to keep many common species. - Frank

I have tanks scattered all over the state I live in. She only wants me to have one tank, so I told her I would be building a 16'x3'x2' tank (16 feet long, 3 feet front to back, and 2 feet tall.) Then she will have a problem, but its only one tank :D

Today when I was at lunch, I noticed one of the more plump cories being followed closely by two thinner ones. Upon closer inspection, I had noticed eggs, but I am confused because after they were laid, they disappeared. Is the C141 a type of cory that will carry around the eggs, or do you think the "males" ate them?

Many corys do eat eggs - males and females.

It's been awhile, but I just wanted to comment on your new arrivals (and the gobies- those are sweet!). Have you gotten any other new, exciting stuff recently?

BTW, you did see that that seller has T. Perugiae for $6 per, right?

Sounds like you've been pretty active! How are those new woodcats working out for you? (Better than the oil cats, I hope)

I've not gotten anything new myself in awhile. The last was another Syno Nigrita (I think), almost two months ago now. I've stopped buying in anticipation of my big move (just over a month to go!). I plan on giving woodcats another shot after the move, perhaps the ones you got or T. intermedia or the like. Would you recommend them for a mixed SA tank with banjos, bumblebees, BNs, and a couple of peaceful fancy plecos?

Mine are doing great in a mixed tank. I am working on a tank devoted to them, but it is still in the works. Since the move, they have been extremely active during the day and feeding with the rest of the daytime crew. I personally want to get some. T intermedius (sorry for the butcher spelling) to mix in with my current beauties. $70 for 8 to be shipped seems like a good deal.
