PVC CEMENT SAFE?

Post by Hmong_xiong »

I'm using PVC CEMENT to seal off the leaking from my PVC that will be connected to drain and deliver water to my fish tanks. Is this safe or not?

It is safe provided you allow the newly glued joint time to cure. Most of the time 24 hours is sufficient but I admit I have used newly glued joints within hours and I did not have any problems. Remember the materials are used in potable water conveyance systems where the most stringent safety requirements apply.
