I once sent Jools a pound of coffee and it was $20 USD.
Can you imagine what shipping would cost for next day?
Of coarse they would never make it past US Customs either. LOL!
I always dream when I see some of the price lists from Germany
but if I had a way to ship my fish to you, I would be happy to.
I just don't think there is a possible way to do it.

That's exactly why I said it's a shame you live so far away.
A nice place Wisconsin - at least it was nice when I was there nearly 20 years ago.

You should see it now, it is getting bigger (cities wise) and a worse place to live.

Big thanks to the 2 people who PM'ed me here and once again I'll have to say........
sorry but all the L183 are sold!
If anything falls through, I'll repost whatever is leftover.
And drgold hurry up and get back here because I need some closer fish people.
Shipping all over the country is getting ridiculous not to mention expensive!

Well I like being in Milwaukee, because we have Aquatics Unlimited, The Fish Factory, and Hoffer's, but no one on here is from my area, which is sad. I look forward to you coming back home as well DrGold.

Hoffer's was great. There were a couple of decent places in Madison in the mid 90s, but they closed. Well, maybe the one on the west side stayed open. Not sure.

There was Animart used to be good, now they are expensive. Used to have EBJD's for $15 now they are $65. The place on the west side that I know of is decent, but prices tend to run high ($150 for a wild calvus, where I get them at the same size for $30)

If you think Wisconsin is an fish keepers' Siberia you should try Clarkston, WA!drgold wrote:Believe me - if I could leave today, I would. It's aquarium Siberia up here.Jackster wrote:And drgold hurry up and get back here because I need some closer fish people.

My town is a wasteland in an even larger a tropical fish wasteland and shipping rates are very expensive plus there is a "rural" surcharge to boot if via Fed Ex.
Now if you were talking about great Trout fishing it is the kicking off place for great fishing and wilderness adventures into the surrounding Idaho Primitive Area(Federally designated as such.) Largest roadless forest in the lower 48 states.
I seem to be the only fish breeder in the twin cities of Lewiston, ID and Clarkston. An area with an aggregate population of just under 50,000. One Petco which can't buy from locals and one fish shop which doesn't buy from me because all my fish are too unusual or unknown to them. They ship in a couple L200 or Gold Nuggets about twice a year but that's about as bold as they get.
Obligatory catfish content.
Your L183 are lovely. I think Barbie has managed to raise a few at her home in Spokane, WA, 100 miles to the north of me.
Avid Trout fly fisherman. ·´¯`·...¸><)))º>

Re: FS L183 Juveniles (Wisconsin/USA)
oops, I should have been more clear....WI isn't a fish siberia; North Dakota is. I think WI actually has a good group of catfish nuts and I'm looking forward to joining up.

I worked at Animart on the East Side of Madison for a little while. I don't miss that.
There was this odd, in a dark building place in Madison, on the South side. Run by one old guy. Lots and lots of tanks, many dark. Few labeled. Tropical Fish World? Some good stuff there.

When did you work there? I used to be in there 2-3 times a week about 4-5 years ago.
