Synopsis by Shane Linder
Ng and Rainboth review the genus Oreoglanis and recognize eight valid species, four of which are described as new: O. frenatus from Laos, O. insignis from Burma and southern China, O. lepturus from the Nam Ngiap River (Mekong drainage), and O. setiger from the Mekong drainage are described. Sadly, these very bizarre looking catfishes have not been imported.
