S. American BB Catfish & Clown Loaches

Post by Bigdan »

I just purchased a 55 gal tank to house juvenile Clown loaches (4). I have 2 BB cats in my current 29 gal. I want to put the bigger of the two in the 55 with the clowns. How well do you think this cat will like this situation? This will be a long term thing and I don't want to do this without any advice. Thank you :P roll1

How big is the bumblebee cat? It should generally be OK as they are safe with all but much smaller fish.

This BB is probably 2-2.5 in. I know that right now there probably going to get along-I'm looking at the future. I've read that these cats get ornary with age. Are they a territorial cat? Do they get along well with black sharks? :?:

This depends on what kind of SA bumblebee we are talking about. Microglanis is fairly peaceful, and Pseudopimelodus may be less so. I have had no problems with the 4" Pseudopimelodus in my tank with other cats, but that may because it's stlll small.
