Synopsis by Shane Linder
Ng Heok Hee and Maurice Kottelat have described a new species of pangasiid that specializes in eating bivalves. This fish stays in the main river channels and does not move into the flooded forest during the rainy season, but instead migrates upstream. It is known from the Mekong and Chao Phraya drainages. The largest specimen collected measured 210.3 mm.
