Science News: Loricariidae - Niobichthys ferrarisi

Post by Silurus »

Synopsis by Shane Linder

Niobichthys ferrarisi is described from the upper Rio Orinoco region at Rio Baria at the base of Cerro La Neblina. This strange little fish looks like a cross between an Otocinclus and a Rineloricaria. The paper also includes a new key for Hypoptopomatini. Very nice photos of the new species are included.
