What am I?

Hi guys 
I am asking on behalf of a friend, who purchased this rather large fella as a "Pearl Mystus", Mystus castaneus. When she told me just how big it actually was, somewhere around 400mm or 15 to 16", I told her it couldn't possibly be that. She sent me these pics and I've been looking at the Catelog every since. I know it's a Bagrid and I suspect I know what he might be, and I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I would really appreciate any input from those who know much, much about this that me
