Well, my initial thought is the same as yours - L236.
However, the most tricky thing is : The importers
of them (there are 3 specimens) mentioned that
they're NOT from Brasil! So, they're not from Rio Iriri...

P.S: I do not know if these specimens are for sales as the importers
are also renowned hobbyists.

Unfortunately or fortunately as the fish trade grows you cannot be certain on the actual origin of a fish....

e.g.I can get some L046 from Peru or via Singapore and goes on.....

Which is the supposed to be country of origin of them?

" Peckoltia sp. Mega crown from Venezuela " ...
i am not really sure if it is a Peckoltia or a
Hypancistrus...
