hi all, im new to the site and could do with your help with my plecos.
been keeping plecos now for about 4 or 5 years and grown to love them, at first it was just about keeping fish but eveytime i go to the fish shop i was only really interested in the plecos.

anyway i have been having a few teething problems with idying my plecs with the l numbers so help is needed, i have ided a few against the cat-elog and would love to know if there was anything else i could feed them, except wafers,prawns and a few peas.
i have an lo18,lo66 and thats all i can id.
any help with l numbers with the names i know would be great.

L66 - Carnivore - feed with bloodworms, mussel, sinking prepared food (such as Tetra bits), carnivore wafers, shrimp pellets and so on.

If you mix a quantity of L numbers you need to be careful that the right diet is offered & that the right individuals eat the right stuff - the above 2 are ok but some others have more specialist requirements

cheers taken on board, i do feed bloodworm but all the other fish eat it before it can even get to the bottom, ive also tried live bloodworm but again the same happens, any ideas how i can get bloodworm to my lo66? cheers for your help much apreciated

For what I'll do is to get a PVC pipe with internal diameter enough for a cube of the frozen bloodworm to slip through.

I place this PVC pipe, with length enough to reach to bottom of the tank. Then I just slip the frozen bloodworm into the PVC pipes. The worms will sink to the bottom when it defrost, without other fishes disturbing it.

Of course, unless your other fishes will go to the bottom to snatch the worms, then you have a new teething issue...
