Are both these fish really C. trillineatus?

My cats species list: 11 (i:0, k:0)
My aquaria list: 2 (i:0)
Location 1: Very close to DC, VA.
Location 2: Virginia

Are both these fish really C. trillineatus?

They look really different from each other. I know that this fish is very variable, but still...

Yes, i think they both are - it is an extremely variable species
