Batman Plec

I was at a garden centre yesterday andone of the staff said they had a batman plec in,though when he looked for it he could not find it and maybe it had been sold.Does anyone know what it was as he claimed it did not have a number as yet

Unfortunately, wholesalers and exporters have a tendency to put "sexy" names on things. Some have a logic behind them, others don't. Knowing what it is without at least a description would be hard.

We do have a Cat-eLog entry for the batman Oto: , but it's fairly incomplete as there is not even a single picture, or any care information - just the name, size and type location and othe generic data that can be relatively easily found.

I could be wrong but my guess is it's likely a trade name for Hillstream loaches, either some Gastermyzon spp or Beaufortia kweichowensis.

I have seen them under all sorts of different trade names from Stingray Pl*co to "batman"...

NOTE: NOT A CATFISH AT ALL.

do they maybe mean one of the vampire pl*cos that is Leporacanthicus?
