Parotocinclus?????

These were with a load of "pitbull plecos" at my LFS. The ranged from 1-2" and I bought two of the larger ones for now. I've had a look at the parotocinclus species and don't see a match. Nearest to my eye is the p. haroldoi. Does it look familiar to anyone? Thanks!

Thanks for the input. It's close but markings don't look the same to me. Maybe a variant? At any rate I'm happy with them so far and may just get a few more. Thanks again!

The fish in the cat elog is possibly a variant..yours is much like the "normal" colouration!!

Thanks Yann! Do you know any more about them? Anything different than the profile here? Where would I find the "normal" pics?

If there is a need for better pics of this species for the site, I'd be happy to take and submit some better ones after the fish settle in. If so let me know.

I am down to only 2 of these out of 5. I find them mixed in with Pit Bull "Plecos", Parotocinclus jumbo, but I thought they were P. spilosoma
You and I are buying from shops in the PNW that have the same suppliers. I have had some for over 4 years and am always hoping to find more.
This species does much better in warmer water than P. jumbo. I have kept them for long periods in with my Discus at 84*F. I had them set up in a shrimp tank for a long time and I found one juvenile. I never was successful with any deliberate attempts at spawning them.
