I have a small 2 inch sl L31. I was wondering how long it would take to grow to 3 1/2 inches. He is in a 10 gallon tank by himself. I do a 50% water change daily.

I wouldn't expect it to grow particularly fast. You'll be looking at 6-12 months for that sort of growth, at the very least.
