L66 help?
Hello, I am quite new here,
I come from denmark live by copenhagen.
I have before looked at the page to find info on my L144 and L66 but now I have so created a user,
my English is not so good but I try as best I can hope to understand it:)
but I am looking for info about the breeding of l66,
I have 3 pieces of 10-12 cm think it is 1.2 but I am not quite sure, however, is one of them all the time in a cave and the other is just under a trærod.
do ph have something to say when it comes to breed them and the water must surely be osmosis or rain?
is if there is any good links or other info, the more a welcome to put them into.
kristoffer.

Ty
I thought just not really say anything about
ph and kh, and so on in the articles,
Nor do something to stimulate the wet season?

I think there is another article on this site re that, I will try to serach it out for you.
I have two king tigers, they are very secretive. They like bloodworms and shrimp.

Re: L66 help?
I'm pretty sure that ALL Hypancistrus are pretty much unconcerned with pH and kH as long as they are in a reasonable range [e.g. pH in the range 5.5-8, and some kH to prevent a pH crash].TetraCrusta wrote:Ty

As to simulating wet season:
1. Increase oxygenation [higher flow]
2. Lower temperature.
3. Lower conductivity.
4. More food.
It may also be a good idea to do a "dry season" first, which is essentially the opposite of wet season:
1. Lower oxygen levels [obviously with care to not make the fish go sick]
2. Higher temperature.
3. Higher conductivity.
4. Less food.
This is usually easy to do by not changing as much [or any] water for a bit, turning down the flow on the pumps and turning up the thermostat on the heater a couple of degrees.

Re: L66 help?
Ok thanks for the explanation,
my water is quite hard about 7.8 in pH,
do not know kh but it is around 20, I believe.
I am going to use osmosevand as rainwater is not possible, but it is probably not as much difference in anything other than water bill: D
Here is an extra picture, I report back if there is something more.

Re: L66 help?
RO water is fine. That will lower the pH, KH and GH (it is really only pH that starts with a lower-case p, GH and KH are either all capitals or all lower case)
