tank size for colony of L260s

Hi there,
I had 2 L260s which sadly died when my CO2 was too high in their tank (it was a planted tank). They were such shy fish and I'd always planned to get 4 more to make a group of 6 but never got around to it. Now I would like to create a species only tank so that I can get the most out of them. So if I had a standard 24" long roughly how many would you say I could keep in there? I think that would be about 70 litres max that I could get.
Thankyou

Lucy

I would recommend a trio for a tank that size. That gives you some room for raising fry, and enough space to diffuse aggression levels.

Thankyou for that. At what age can you sex them?

I'm not sure, actually. I would assume at a couple years they'd be sexable. About 3" TL should make it easier. The stomach coloration can lend itself to identifying the sexes, but is definitely not something to count on 100%.

Janne's breeding article on Shane's World suggests sexual differences at 9-10 cm:
