This past Monday the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society was privileged to have Ian Fuller as our guest speaker to talk to us about raising and keeping Cory's. It was a great presentation and lots of fun. For a balmy Monday evening in the Northern Virginia part of the Washington, DC area we had 48 people attend including 2 first time visitors.

Ian was in the US speaking to a couple other clubs like ours and we were really glad to have him as he will also be doing a workshop on Cory's at PVAS's All Aquarium Catfish Convention 2008 in October. Because Ian arrived the day before our club meeting our club president MIchael Barber opened his home to members to have a catered Barbeque dinner as a chance to meet and talk to Ian about all things catfish.

Ian also had a couple notebooks full of prints of his handpainted catfish portraits which were beautiful. I was thrilled to be able to buy one and have it framed already. It was a great couple of days and it was super having Ian talk to our club.

Yes, Ian gives good talks :) very down to earth and informative.

I agree on the paintings and drawings; they are very nice! Must buy some next time I bump into him :)

Hi everyone,

I have also met Ian Fuller.
He spoke at the 2006 Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs annual convention in London, Ontario, Canada.
I won one of his handpainted drawings for having the first place cory in the show :D
I also have an autographed copy of his book:

He is a very dedicated and down to earth guy for sure :)
