As promised, here are some of the many pics I took at the Manaus fish market during my visit. As it was the end of the rainy season, the diversity was fairly low. I still missed out on some spectacular finds, though. Someone else saw an 80 cm Leiarius in the market the day after I went.

Great pics! Which one is the bigger cat, P. Tigrinus or the P. Fasciatum?

The smaller Pseudoplatystoma with the vertical bars are P. fasciatum. The bigger ones with the reticulate pattern are P. tigrinum.

Curious: How big were the B. filimentosum?

Most of them were about 24-30 inches.
