Hey guys / gals..

I need some help deciding on a pleco.. I have narrowed it down to 3 possibilities. L024, L025 or L091. The tank will most likely only have one more tank mate which would be a Erythrinus erythrinus (Red Wolf Fish). I'm kind of leaning towards the L091 because it's colors would match the wolfs best, but I also like the look of the L024 and L025. I have heard the L091 hides majority of the time, do the L024 and L025 behave the same way? I'd prefer a fish that will stay out in view even though they are nocturnal. I also know the L024 / L025 are Carnivores and the L091 is a Omnivore. The Red Wolf is semi aggressive, although mostly towards fish it sees as food. The pleco will get much bigger then the Red Wolf so I'm not too concerned with that. Tank will be either a 75 or 100 gal. Can anyone give me some insight on the 3 and maybe suggest which would be better and why?

The L24 and L25 will outgrow most ordinary tanks - L24 needs one that is at least 4 x 2 x 2ft, and L25 at it's listed max size would require 6 x 3 x 3ft (both of these are minimum tank sizes, obviously bigger tank is never a bad thing).

L91 grows a bit smaller, so may be a better choice. Although the temperature listed in Cat-eLog for the L24/L25 goes to about 26'C, I'd suspect that they do better at a slightly higher temperature, around 28-30'C, as they are from Rio Xingu, which tends to be quite a warm river.

All of the plecos require highly oxygenated water, whilst the wolf-fish's natural habitat is low-oxygen level waters.
