Cory Crew Gathers in U.S.
Posted: 08 Jun 2008, 00:48
Greetings All. Many of you know that Ian Fuller is currently in the U.S. giving talks at 3 different clubs on the east coast., ending, tomorrow. Ian and Eric Bodrock visited my hatchery yesterday. Ian brought me some magnificent C. multimaculatus (perhaps the coolest Cory on the planet), a load of C120's, a group of real C. bondi and a beautiful group of C. narcissus. I returned the favor by sending him home with 9 adult F0 and F1 CW16's, 2 male C. eques to add to his group of females, 6 beautiful A. cf. albater and a pair of bettas that have thrown some stunning fry. Sent Eric home with 8 young adult CW016's, too. Need to get more of this fish in the hobby, so I am trying to do my bit.
We spent the night talking about fish and drinking our favorite beverage, Yuengling Lager. lol. Always a great time with these guys.
Today, the 3 of us attended an Open House at Mark Denaro's (Anubias Designs) where I met a lot of great people and glommed his entire stock of C154's (first time imported into the U.S.) and a beautiful pair of opaque plakats.
I came home after the OH to find that my C. adolfoi, and A. albater had spawned. This has been one of the best weekends I have ever had and I still have Sunday, to go. lol.
Hmmm. maybe I'll find multiple spawns in the A.M.
I look forward to seeing Ian and Eric at the U.S. Catfish Convention, in October (and possible Sir Jools, also). I'm sure it will be a great time, again, this year. "Be there or be square." - Frank
OOPS. I posted this in the wrong section. Might a moderator please move to proper Forum. TYVM and sorry about that. - F.
