Snub nose panadas?

Is his a new thing or has there allways been them. My g/f went out and i asked her to pick me up three pandas to make my shoal 12. I didn't look at them good until they were in the tank and i noticed that they were snub nosed. I just got back from the store that they were purchased at and all of the ones that they have in are snub nosed. I know that this happens with L46's but i was unaware of pandas doing this.

I would like to see pictures before making any comment.

Photos required for receiving meaningful feedback.
First thing I thought of was the Corys were missing their barbels.

I will atempt to photo them. I have them in a 75 with a ton of wood and hiding areas. The barbels are still there they are just way under the front of the body. Get back to you as soon as i have the photos.

I think I know what you mean and I've got one female snub nose in my panda school.

It sounds like years of inbreeding are catching up with Corydoras panda. In addition to these reports of snub nose specimens there is a long fin variety commercially available.

I bought some wild caught Corydoras panda and they have grown larger than most farm raised specimens I have raised. I haven't tried very hard to spawn them yet but they seem to be more difficult for me than the common aquarium strain. Now it's way to warm for them in my fish room. They just have to hang on through the Summer.
