Honestly, with the angle of the pictures, it's going to be pretty hard to tell. The first three are for sure females, IMO, and the last two look to have male odontodes. If these fish had a cave that fit them and a rainy season you should have fry in a matter of weeks ;). Good luck!

Didn't realise the angle the fish were sitting at until i looked at the pictures on my pc.

A group photo of three of them;

They have all plumped up well, but they all look plump and i am beginning to think i have all females, hopefully not.

Thanks.

Don't give up hope, I think you have at least one male in there. Pictures from the side to view the odontodal growth would also help. Long spines laying outside the operculum are always a good sign. Do any of them claim caves?

Thanks Barbie
I found some photos i took a couple of months ago but forgot i had, some are better, hopefully they'll help check i have a male.

There is five caves, a piece of slate propped up and a piece of wood in the tank for the them, three of them use the caves and one hides under the wood, the final one tries to also hide under the wood, but is chased by the one already there, so sometimes is found under the propped up slate.

The fish are in a totally different order from the first lot of photos.

Male: interopercular and pectoral odontodes longer, hard ray of pectoral fins broader, odontodes on body plates, head longer and wider. Quote from Cat-elog
Judging by the latest photos
A. Female (fuller around the body & lack of odontodes growth )
B. Male (odontodes growth & body plates)
C. Male (odontodes growth & body plates & head shape)
D. Female (fuller around the body & lack of odontodes growth )
E. Female (fuller around the body & lack of odontodes growth )

Cheers
