IMO either Panaque L204 or Hypancistrus sp. I'm leaning more towards Hypancistrus, I can't tell though.
Good luck

Need a focused pic really, but from this I'd guess a young L204 'flash' panaque

Tough to tell for sure, but 204, 401, and 260 are all good candidates. I'm leaning towards 260, but that's a wild guess. I bet it's one of those three, however.

Little clearer. Thought he might have ick looking at photo but it seems to be little bristles all over his body with the flash reflecting the water.

could be L204 but the filaments on the tail are missing. maybe it's a Panaque maccus L104!

Looks like a male dwarf panaque of some sort, but not L204 (belly is different - tail filaments can be missing on 204's due to bad water or fighting), and probably not L104 panaque maccus (too black/white vs. brown/gold).
It's a sexy little bugger, whatever it is.

Might be missing tail due to fighting, Not sure. He is in with a larger royal pleco of some kind. Don't think he had the long tail fins when I got him but got them both at the same time. The tank is over filtered with weekly water changes so he isn't in bad water. Looks like the panaque but his white stripe seems thicker to me.

Could you take a picture of the teeths so we can see them clearly? A picture when the fish is in the aquarium so we can see his bodyshape more natural, I think it's a Hypancistrus species and not a Panaque but even if the last pictures is quite good it's hard to make any correct id.

The fish is for sure not L204.At that size the male L204 does not 'exhibit' odontodes and spines. It is very small in order to be a mature male Panaque L204....
As Janne said i also suspects Hypancistrus...
I have seen identical fish to the last Heiko Bleher's seminar in Athens....
Dentition pics will help.....

Hypancistrus L316 perhaps?
Doesn't look much like a dwarf panaque anymore...the earlier mouth shots had me fooled.

I thought this one would be easy. Didn't realize how many look like him until I followed your leads. Think the L 316 is the match. Thank you again.

It could be
but the the larger eyes disturb me, they seems to be to large for L316. It could maybe be
instead that sometimes also can be black and white instead of the more normal colouration darkbrown and dirtywhite.

Hi!!
Yeap there were those eyes that were disturbing me also...
a young L401 was a possible idea...and so was H debilittera
