There is a lovely approx 12" SL M. leucophasis that has been a resident at my lfs for a few months now that has just been moved from a large display tank to a much smaller one. Of course, being female, this brings out my "poor baby, I must rescue it!!!" side  He's been in and out of the lfs a couple of times as the ppl who've brought him have brought him for display tanks and this guy is a closet interior decorator. I have space in my 150g for a fish this size, but given how conflicting the information on the net is about their temperement, I'm not sure how well he's going to mix with the other inhabitants. My main concern is how he's likely to get on with my Silver Arowana, currently approx 16". Any info or personal experience would be great appreciated.

I've not kept this with Arowana bud have had some bad experiences with large individuals :(

I do know though that lot's of people have mixed them with few if any problems  so i might suggest that there are differences in temperament between individuals dependant upon things like tank size, tankmates, territory available, feeding regime etc

Most problems i have come across have been with fish of a similar ilk so the arowana might well be a good mix(?) if you want to try it?

I have toyed in the past about a tank set up for this fish with minimal, non-preferred substrate cover & instead having large surface placed branches, maybe with java fern on to encourage the fish to hide away from the bottom.
