Sold as Synodontis Angelicus?

Purchased this last week, other half took a fancy to it. Was told it was a synodontis angelicus.
However, looking on here, the syno angelicus has a black body with white spots.
This one has a grey/brown body with black spots.
Any ideas?

Was told it was a synodontis angelicus.
Definitely not Synodontis angelicus
I always try to find something it could be...but unfortunately it looks to me like a hybrid of some sort similar to this
...lately this is not uncommon and they get passed off with names from real species
possibly ocellifer X rift lake syno

Birger is right and his suggestion makes sense. I hope you didn't pay too much for it as S. angelicus is normally rather pricey.

Thanks for the replies.
Only paid UKP £5 for it so did not break the bank.

Hey Folks
The Syno. in the two photographs is one of several hybrid forms sold in the U.K. as Synodontis 'species' Tiger. Very easy to keep and care for. There is a beautiful angelicus hybrid featured on the Scotcat website article 'not so angelic(us)'
