BABIES GALORE!!

Post by Hell Fire »

FINALLY!!! My Bristlenose plecs have had babies! Ive been trying to get them to breed for ages but the 1st lot she layed on a leaf, the 2nd lot got fungus but 3rd time lucky1 hes been in the cave for days now fanning, i couldnt see eggs but was hopeing. He did let her in the cave a few weeks back so that was another clue as they normaly fight like cat and dog!
Not to sure how many they can have at one to,e but i have about 100 or so in my tank!!! NOT looking forward to catching them!!!
So how many can they have? And how many weeks do you think untill they will get to about a inch? Never bread this type before so not sure how quick they grow. ve got room to keep a few as have several tanks. If anyone in the South West of the UK wants one let me know!!

I00 fry has been the upper limit to the brood size my large adult females produce. Usually each female spawns consecutively so I actually get about 200 from a batch.
