What's with the date? 06/24/07?

Can you specify what date you are referring to?

The date on the posts seem to be OK to me.

Are you referring to you joining date - the only date I can see that is similar to that.

[Also, I moved this to the Bugs and Suggestions section, as that is where this sort of thing belongs.

Hi Mats
Thanks for the reply.
All the post had the same date after the posters name on the board that was shown on my computer. Even Ian's was 06/24/07
I figured there was a glitch. :) Sorry I wasn't clearer.

Look at the date after your name. :an:

Every date in the forum says 06/24/07 still. Is it just me?

Can you post the link to where you are seeing this?

I've attached a screenshot of the right-hand column of the "Planet Catfish" group of subjects, which is what your last link is. It shows several different data on my machine.

I appreciate your spending your time on this, MatsP. I don't know how to post a screen shot. But all mine have 06/24/07 where you have different dates. I will check on my home computer later today, but I don;t know what evil imp would change all the dates on my computer on PC to the date of my registration! LOL

That's really strange, because the content of your page should be the same as anyone else.

What browser are you using?

Windows Internet Explorer, MSN.

I have changed computers. I was on a new Dell XPS Laptop running Windows Vista. I am now on an older (2 years +) Running Windows XP Home Media Center. I am still getting the same 06/24/07 on everything in the Forum.

It is very strange.

It's a local setting "on" your PC. It's not really something I can change anyway as it's meant to allow for people's local preferences.

I get the same date on 4 different computers, 2 different networks as well as a different account (the work account) that I have tried. I think it is unlikely that it is a problem at my end.

Not sure that I see the logic in that argument as if you use the reverse, why wouldn't a whole bunch of Planet users also be experiencing the same thing. The network doesn't have much of a bearing on it, the computer only if it is an international setting, I feel it's likely an issue with your account, hence my use of "on".

Anyway, can you go into your user control panel and then the "board preferences" tab and post here what your date setting is set to?

What user control panel? If you want me to check something in the control panel on this computer, where is the board preferences tab? I am on the xpsDell laptop running Vista using Internet Exporer.

I use 2 different computers of my own on 2 different networks and servers. I checked tonight on the computer at work which uses a different account, browser, and server.

At the top left of the browser window under the three catfish graphics, you will see a link to "board index" under that (assuming you are logged in), you should see "user control panel".

Ah-Hah! Done!

It is off by 13 minutes but it is no longer a "Custom" setting in some other time zone.

Hi,

Go into your "user control panel" (top left link), go into board preferences and have a play around with your date format settings. Let us know if that changes it?
