i would not of said so they are about 1inch plus at the moment

Cw012 doesn't seem to have any black between the stripes, which the fishes shown above do have.

I'd like to hear the reasons given why this is not C. reynoldsi.

the wholesaler i got them from (N.H.A)
say they was not convinced with c.reynoldsi and i was hoping ian would jump in and confirm this as i dont no what to label them up as. yes they look much the same as the above name..BUT IF IN DOUDT ASK THE CORY MAN)

In lieu of Ian, I have looked up C. reynoldsi in Ian's "Identifying Corydoradinae Catfish", and the only difference I can see is that the fish in the picture are a little bit less orange/yellow/brown than the ones in Ian's book. I don't claim to be an expert on Cory's, but of the suggestions so far, I'd say C. reynoldsi is the closest.

Does the shop give any particular reason for the fish NOT being C. reynoldsi?

it was not a shop i got them from, it was a wholesalers for my shop

Ok, I'm still interested in hearing why ANYONE thinks it's NOT C. reynoldsi, whoever they are? Particularly if Ian disagrees, I'd like to hear WHAT the difference is.

I agree with Mats- allowing for the difference in substrate colour changing the fish's base colour slightly, the patterning and body shape seem a pretty good match with C. reynoldsi

Without a doubt C. reynoldsi, like all fish especially those with spotted or blotched markings, there will be an amount of variation in patterning.
