Does L147 have a spotted belly?
I just picked up a nice group of plecs on ebay (yup, ebay) and just want to get an ID. They're about 3" and look to be L147. i noticed that they have a spotted belly, but can't tell from the catelog pics if that is a feature of L147. Thanks for any help, and sorry for the low-quality pics!

As long as the spots aren't really dark, then it would indicate L205 [from memory - it may be one of the other "spotted Peckoltia"].

Thanks! I'm really happy with them. They came in in great shape and ate pellets within an hour. There are some still available, I think. PM me if you want details on where I got them.

Yann, what has your experience been with their colours as they age? I've noticed a bit of fading in the colours as they age. Have you seen this, too?
Thanks,
Amanda

Hi Amanda!
Yes I have seen this but it wasn't very noticeable, think is it much more related to sex determination from what I remember of them!!
Male being more contrasted than female...or at least the one I had.
Hope it help!!
Cheers

Amanda,
I would agree with Yann. My males are much more distinct in thier coloration than the females.
