Pseudancistrus sp. (L067) *New Pic's*

Hi all,
First off, just wanted a second opinion weather you think this is a L067? Is he a male?
Also, if it is indeed a L067 does any one have any info on them or a similar species. I have looked in the cat-e-log, and done a forum search, but I haven't come up with much other than a temp. range of 25-30*C.
Some info on ideal tank set-up (ie- driftwood, rocks?), water flow (they are very flat, so this leads me to believe that they need a lot of flow?), ph, and has anyone heard of any breeding accounts?
They have teeth very similar to Baryancistrus so would I feed it on a simialr diet to them?
And one last question, i have seen that some of the other Pseudancistrus species get very long odontodes down the edge of the face, do only males get these? and will the L067 get them?
Any info would be much appreciated...
Cheers, Jake.

He looks like a she and it's L67, adult males grows odontodes around the head and on the pectoral fins but can loose them under bad conditions. You have already assumed the right environment and feeding for them so just follow your thoughts, caves should be flat and narrow for these species. I have not bred L67 but similar species in this genus.

Thanks a lot Janne!
Do you have any photo's of your tank set-up that you spawned your species in? Which species was it if your don't mind?
Cheers, Jake.

L259, there will maybe be an article published first but you are on the right road with your thoughts.
A nice male.

Wow Janne that guy is awsome!!!
What are the differences between L067 and L259, they both seem to be very similar plecos (other than the first pic of L259 in the cat-e-log)? Any idea when your artical will be out?
Also, I picked up another 3 L067's today, would you be able to have a go at sexing them? They are approx. 7cmSL...
Number 2 Male?

L067 Top #2:
L067 Underneath #2:
Number 3 male?

They come from two different river systems, L17 are from Rio Xingu and L67 is from a tributary to Rio Xingu and L259 are from Rio Tapajos, there are only small differencies between them.
I think you should let them grow to around 10 cm SL so they are mature and in good condition, then you can take new pictures and we will try to sex them...it's quite difficult when they are small and not really mature, it's easy when they are in breeding condition.

Bringing this thread back to the top... Wondering if you ever did publish the article on breeding them anywhere?
Thanks!

An article in GOC, Guardians of Catfish, would be very nice!
