Best Plec for Kuhli

Post by sthomas048 »

Hello All,

Im struggling to pin down tankmates for my proposed bottom-dweller tank. Im certain of owning some Kuhli Loaches. But what catfish could i put in there ? Something quite placid and easy going. I like the look of Plecs. Is it better to pop one or two in, or like the Kuhlis - the more of them the merrier ?

My tank is a Juwel Rio 125l/33g, about 80x50x36cms. My water is mid-soft and ph 7.

Help ! :? Any ideas please ?

Thanks.

I have 12 kuhlis in my planted tank (36" 65g) with 2 L066 king tigers, an L204 flash, L018 gold nugget, whiptail, and various otos/parotos. No problems whatsoever.

Plecs and loaches seem to be a non-issue, unless you have something predatory like a megalancistrus or something.

I have six small kuhlis in a tank with three reasonably large Ancistrus triradiatus (one of them might be something else, like a sp(3), but I never see it so I can't tell). Either way - no problems whatsoever.
