WalMart at it again

Now they are selling Synodontis eupterus juveniles (I'm reasonably sure that's what it is from the picture of a juvenile on Cat-eLog) as upside down cats. I pity the poor folks who think they are getting a smallish fish for their 10 gallon tank. And it appears that they continue bringing in gold nugget plecos. Sigh.

The words "upside down cat" can end up covering a wide variety of different fish, sometimes it can be to your benefit though as some less common fish can get lumped into this.

Birger is right but it does seem to happen a bit less often these days (in the UK anyway) - that said i saw a small S.Waterlotti in a tank of what was labelled Nigrita (& they mostly were)

I hope they start bringing in Gold Nuggets here.
And of course... I can talk to my Walmart and let them know that they are wrong about what they are selling. Both people that work in their department, regularly, have me looking over stuff and making suere they do it correctly. I guess that comes with a few years of experience, and talking with them constantly while I'm there. LOL

Hmmmm....I guess they are becoming more common now.
I'm glad Walmart here does not sell fish since I hear all these horror stories.

You must be lucky - I can't get the pet store people to listen to me, let alone the WalMart folks.....

Some of the bigger stores, like Petco and Petsmart...I have problems at (usually with the teenagers), but the 1 LFS I shop at...usually wants my input, since they don't have anyone, but the owner himself, who likes catfish or plecos.
