Unknown Central Brazilian catfish...

Long time no see... :oops:

A friend caught this specimen in Central Brasil... Only thing I know is that's a nice fishie. :?

Thanks for the help, guys... The guy who caught it said its colors were identical to these of Tatia simplex, BTW. :mrgreen:

Still don't know exactly what it is, but we have fewer options now. :P

The larger and fewer spots of your specimen rule out Tatia simplex imo.

the caudal fin shape is wrong for Tatia simplex- your specimen has a strongly forked caudal fin without the rounding of fin tips evident in Tatia.
