Check out
for much of the info you need. A school of twelve sounds great. How big is your tank and what else do you keep?

THANK YOU! The tank is 75 gallons and right now nothing is in it. It has a sand bottom that is two inches deep(I know its a BIT deep) and a bunch of silk plants(and some plastic). 'm hopping to add 2 green severums, 1 redtail prochilodus, 1 pink tailed chacleus, and the school of 12 cories. I might add a school of some tetras of rasboras latter on and maybe a pleco of some kind. If you guys have any suggestions I would really like them.

12 is a great number!!! I have a 20 long with 6 albinos that are very happy in their tank. Of course, the constant supply of veggies, wafers, and sinking food doesn't hurt either. LOL

Corys in general don't eat veggies - other fish in the tank may well do, and the cory's may do "Sniff, Sniff, what's this, can it be eaten? No? Ok I'll move on then" when you add veggies. But I have yet to see any Callichtyidae eat any vegetable matter [I don't count algae wafers as vegetable matter - they contain more fish-meal than vegetables].

Hmm...Interesting. I put a piece of zucchini in with my cories, and they inside out of it...i.e. the only thing left is rind. And they always seem to eat spinach...or at least, they aren't leaving anything behind. LOL

I've seen one of my Corydoras Elegans eat cucumber.

My Schultzei black eat peas, cucumbers, algae pellets and are regularly grazing on algae
