Syno Multi's without hosts

Is anyone or has anyone trying to spawn the s. multi without hosts. Just as an egg scatterer or any other method?

you may use forum search option and you will find some reports about multis spawning without hosts.
Probably when fish are ready to spawn and they cannot find a host they just do it :)
