Possible Cory. nanus?

I found this guy mixed in a tank with a bunch of other Corys labeled as Black stripe Cory. He was obviously quite different. There are two distinct horizontal lines on either side beginning at the operculum and extending to the caudal fin. There is a distinct dark area in the dorsal and adipose fins; the pectoral and anal fins had a light black band distally lined with gold/yellow, none in the caudal fin. Patterning cranial to the operculum is mottled/spotted with black on gold. A slight gold dorsal stripe is present from the eyes to the dorsal fin. No ventral markings, which is creamy white. The focus on these pics is the best I could get as he was constantly active. He seems to be more mid-water than bottom-dwelling like my other 3 corys and is very active "chasing his reflection" up and down the tank. So far he has fed well on frozen bloodworms and pellets. I understand the C. nanus is pretty rare but this is the closest species I could find in the Axelrod Atlas.

I have a C. nanus in my 55gal with 13 other cories. I do not believe that yours is C. nanus, but rather C. bilineatus or C. napoensis. C. bilineatus is my best guess... I have 3

Either napoensis or bilineatus. As you only have one, you can't breed them to find out, as the fry patterns between the two are quite different. I had what I thoght was bilneatus until I bred them and found out I had napoensis.

Real C. nanus is extremely rare. Everytime I've senn "nanus" in shops or at wholesalers, it has been napoensis.

I believe this is a pic of C. nanus in my 55gal at my house. I bought it from an unlabeled tank, but it resembles nanus better than napoensis or bilineatus. (C. panda, bilineatus, trilineatus, & leucomelas are also in this pic)

Right after I posted this I realized I meant to say napoensis, not nanus. He definitely looks more like the prior. I plan to go back and see if there is another in the tank - though I didn't see any at the time.
