ID and sex these cories, please?

Post by traco »

I have these two cories who were just moved from another tank to this one with the black eco substrate. They look totally different against this color than when they were in a bare bottom tank. I'd love to know what kind they are and hopefully, the sex? And how easy are they for spawning, same as albino cories? (which I've had great luck at with!). I'd love to get some more so would appreciate what kind I shall be looking for.

Thanks.

Barb

The species will be C trilineatus, often sold as C julii. however, I think they need to put on some length before one can sex them: they have now the slimness of males, and the short fins of females.

In due time this might change considerably
