Clarias liocephalus, need info

I can get some Clarias liocephalus, but I have a hard time finding any info or photos of them. Can anyone help me out?

I am quite sure care would be like any other members of the genus.

wich is a quite decent length and much more managable than any other Clarias in the hobby.
I would go for it. maybe you can even breed them and help spread a rare cat (this one is only rarely available; I've never seen em in any LFS) in the hobby.
it sure beats C batrachus or C gariepinus as "keepable Clarias". and a wildform is soooooo much better to look at than all those albino or piebald critters.

I agree that a wildform looks better then the pink ones, I might go for it, this is the first time I have ever seen them anywhere.

I ordered 5 of these. Hopefully they will arrive.
I cannot find it in the Cat-eLog, is there a reason why? Like is liocephalus a synonym or soemthing?

As far as I can see, there's no fish in the Cat-eLog that is a synonym of Clarias liocephalus. Probably just that we don't have an entry for this fish. If you can get some decent photos [after making sure the fish is ACTUALLY the rigth species], and send them to Joolas [webmaster (at) planetcatfish (dot) com] with your full name for the "credits", it should be possible to add it to the database. As a general rule, the Cat-eLog only "adds" new fish when there is a picture. There are some exceptions, but the common way to "get new fish in" is to send a picture (or multiple shots) to Jools with the name of the species. Then I usually add additional info from Fishbase, Books etc to "improve" the data.

I got them yesterday, 3 tiny ones and 1 a little bigger, still very small. They are pink, but fortunately they have blck eyes. I am not sure what to look for id-wise, but I think they are a little more slender and their headshape is different from C. batrachus. But it may be almost ten years since I've kept C. batrachus this size so it's hard to tell.
