You might be right!
Is that i have been checking the aqualog book and for me it looks like the L103 but there are so many that looks like him.
The lfs also said it's called Vittata.
I will see if i can get some better pics of him now as he is not stressed out.
Thanks

It does look similar to L103, but a photo close up of his mouth will see if he is a or not.

Panaque maccus is a much more common export though.

Often Panaque maccus is sold as Peckoltia vittata.

A few newer pics of the fella.
I didn't manage to get a closer picture since he is hiding and very careful to get out in the open.
He do spend a lot of time under and on the wood.

Body shape looks like Panaque, so it's P. maccus or one of the very close relatives, I'd say. To repeat Racoll's statement, a shot of the mouth (from "below") would say for certain, as the teeth are one of the "keys" to identification.

Okey then,Iam buying a new plec today and it's the same plec as on the pictures above.I will then take pics of his mouth as requested :wink:Btw..is it a male i have?

Unfortunately, I can't tell the sex from these pictures. Males have pretty well-defined "bristles" on the back of the body, if they are in good condition - easy to tell. But if they are stressed and recently imported, they may not show much of that.

The last few photos resemble juvenile L204's. Note: Resembles; my P. maccus have never shown the same crisp dark brown and cream banded pattern.
The first; P. maccus.

Larry, I agree, the latter pictures are more L204 than P. maccus, but I thought it was all the same fish, which was why I said what I said. I've been wrong before, so this could be another time I'm wrong.

Let's see what the next fish looks like.

I call my avatar pleco Peckoltia vitta. It could be any number of similar species but I decided probabilities favored P. vittata.

I do see differences between the OP's fish and L204. L204 are more elongated. The latter photos show especially well marked specimens of P. maccus.
