Semi-new to catfish

Post by fishlvr »

Hello. My name is Steve Knight, and I just recently found this forum. I've only kept pl*cos and bullheads before, but now I'm interested in finding out more about other species of catfish. If you've read some of my posts, you probably noticed I'm interested in breeding fish. I like to breed animals for three reasons:

1) The animals deserve to pass on their genes, if at all possible.

2) It lets me know I'm taking good care of my fish, and

3) It adds to the captive population, so that the fish don't have to be wildcaught, if it is a species that is readily wildcaught.

Thanks to the people who have replied to my posts and to the people who have taken the time to read this. :D

P.S. I also belong to monsterfishkeepers.com and the NANFA forum.
Current cat collection: 0.0.2 Noturus miurus; 0.0.1 Ameiurus natalis; 0.0.3 Otocinclus hoppei; 0.0.2 Otocinclus sp. (unknown ATM)
On the way: 0.0.1 Noturus insignis
And definitely planning to expand. :D
