My Albino Bristlenose Plecos breed like clockwork but the fry survival rate is not that good. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find some good information to help me with this? Thank you.

Is there any other fish in the tank? What are you feeding the fry and parents? Water quality needs to be as good as possible, you should do about 10% daily water changes.

I've also found (through experience) that they seem to prefer slightly hard water, so if you're using RO water or naturally very soft water, that may be part of the reason.

Another common problem is lack of food - particularly if you keep them with their parents, as the parents tend to munch any food supplied within a few hours, whilst the babies (like ALL babies) need a constant supply 24hours a day, 7 days a week to prevent starvation. Early starvation can cause problems that turn up later in life too (such as stunting or short lifespan).

Thank you for your help. I do keep my water on the alkaline side at 78 to 80 degrees. I do a lot of water changes. I will have to concentrate more on the food supply
