I brought my c.schwartzi 6 months ago hoping to bring so activity to my tank. But all they seem to do is relax under the log and come out for food, some times they play(but rarely) besides that they sit and hang out with the raphs, are the raphs pesonality rubbing off on them or they just normally like this?

They are not the most active of corys, but not that shy either. It may depend what they are in with or the conditions. BTW what are raphs? what else is in the tank? What size is the tank, temp, decor and substate? What do you feed them and finally how big are they. I am assuming you water parameters are all good.

Sorry Daragh, by raphs I mean Rapheal spotted talking catfish (almost Chrysichthys) . The tank is 10 gallons with sand as the substrate, a big piece of driftwood about an inch from the bottom, some plants, and blue lighting, temperature is 75F and is in normal parmeters. As for food they love hikari carnivorous fish food, and teta min varity wafers. As for size of them is about 1 inch and the other 1 and a half inches.

Hello,

I have two Schwartz's (along with 13 other Corydoras) and love them so much I'm hoping to get a few more. They are my most active species of Cory and are not nocturnal at all. My Schwartz's are very out going.

Like humans, some Cories are active and some are not.....like some of us are couch potatos and athletes.

I have 6 sterbais in a twenty long and 4 of them are very active but two of them always like to stay hidden. It may vary for each individual, but you may also have a fish in the tank that might be harrassing the cories.
