Bought 3 of these from Swallow Aquatics at East Harling fairly recently. They were sold as "dwarf nannus corys", but obviously they're not.

I put them up another forum and was told they were C. Bilineatus or C. Napoensis, but I've just managed to get a much better photo so I thought I'd throw it up for you lot to try and identify:

They're variable in markings, this one is the darkest and you can see the black blotch on the dorsal fin. One of my others doesn't have this at all. He also has faint black flecks, for lack of a better word, on his caudal fin, though you can't see that in the picture. Again this is fainter or absent on the others.

Help much appreciated, thanks!

hi richie
Most definatlely Napoensis. Males have a stronger pattern to them also, as well as being slimmer.

I find these two species rather difficult to tell apart, but as I've undeerstood it, C. bilineatus has two lines along the body, while C. napoensis has more...looks like your fish has pale 4 lines along the body.

So I guess I agree with Stuart; C. napoensis most likely.

As a remark, I bought some "Corydoras nanus" imported from Czech republic last year. They were more defined than your fish with only two lines. Probably C. bilineatus.
