Cory id, labelled elegans

picked up my first corys today, labelled elegans, thought i would get a second opinion as i dont trust LFS id's and my corydora knowledge is pretty much zero

It is not the "Corydoras elegans"
However, it is an C elegans type probably

Hi all
last week i got a group of wild caught c.napoensis and in the group were 2 oddballs. one looks exactly like xingumikes fish the other looks like a cross between the 2 could this happen?

Crosses between fishes from the same region are unlikely - the reason for this that they wouldn't be separate species in the first place if they hybridize between each other - the species would never have been split apart into two different ones if they could cross back and forth. However, there are quite a few Corydoras species that are quite variable in colour/pattern. Most likely they are either two fishes of different species, or they are the same variable species.

The fish are an undescribed species from the so-called 'elegans' group, issued with the C-number C041. The first image show a female and the second shows a male. There is quite a variance in colour patterns between males and females belonging the this group, which often gives rise to confusion in identifications.
