Hi need some advice about air systems for my fish hut what do other fish hut owners use for their system I've got 18 tanks the now how much pressure is needed to run sponge filters in each any advice welcome

I think that the linear compreesor aquarium pumps are a good choice.
They have a nice balnnce of low noise, high capacity, pressure and low electrical consumption for a modest sized fish room on a central air supply.
Also having a spare diaphragm on hand is a good idea not that they need replacing very often. They are modestly priced also. In fact so reasonable that you can probably afford two so there is a back up if something serious goes wrong.
Even a fairly small unit will have enough capacity to allow for you to expand the number of aquariums.
Their low cost also allows for you to use two pumps plus a spare if your fish room gets larger than you presently concieve it. These are poular strategies of redundancy that are very popular in commercial aquaculture, albeit on a larger scale.
Many units with plenty of capacity for your current fishroom are approximately $100 US.
