Feeding synodontis Petricola

Post by Gourami Swami »

Hello everyone! As a brithday gift, I got a synodontis petricola. I heard they like to be in groups so in a few days I am going to buy him 2 friends. The only problem I am having is getting him to eat. For the most part he hangs out behind a fake plant in one corner of the tank, but he comes out and cruises the back of the tank occasionally. He wasnt going to come to the top fr flakes, so I released some brine shrimp right y where he was but he didnt make any attempt to eat. Will he become less shy with time and come out more? WHat do you recommend trying to get him to eat?

Thanks!
Keeper of aggressive, predatory, and just plain weird fish!

Fish will take some time to acclimate to their new surroundings and it might be a while before they begin to feed. I would not worry too much unless it has been going on for two weeks or more.
