gold nugget.. L85?

Bought a nice nugget a few months ago, it has its own cave and are eating well, being the dominant fish in the tank and so on.
Question being, the store i got it from stated it was a L85, but as they are sold as "nugget mix" over here, is he really a 85? I assume no one can tell the gender, i heard males was more "cavemens" of the nuggets, is that true?
His eye appear strange for me, it might be the camera aswell.
